I think this OP is severely confused. Being told to RESPECT it does not mean people are forcing you to ship it. Surprise surprise, people don’t like seeing hate about their ship and if you post hate, you will probably get bitched out. But that in no way means that people are trying to force you to SHIP IT.

the only thing that really upset me was that, from what i heard, bryke used someone else’s art without permission from the original artist to make book 4: forbiddon love

if they would have made their own art or got permission, i wouldn’t have minded so much and would have thought it was funny, but that was low

i could be wrong, though, since that’s what i heard

still, this “attitude” is all in good fun and i’m pretty sure they don’t really care what the fandom does

for the book 4 thing, they didnt get any permission from any of the artists

but i just feel that asshole move was evened out by ‘the last airbender’ so………………..

They don’t need permission because THEY FUCKING OWN THE CHARACTERS.

Maybe the reason they made fun of Zutara shippers is because so many of them are incredibly obnoxious and rabid (and probably sent them lots of angry mail). Just an idea.

It’s not their fault you’re a bunch of crazies who have no sense of humor. 

It’s their show. You’re free to watch or not watch. They can make fun of you all they want for misreading their show.
